The 18th DAP Congress delivered a major surprise as Lim Guan Eng failed to retain his position as National Chairman. He only managed to secure 26th place in the CEC election, with his role now taken over by Gobind Singh Deo, while Anthony Loke remains as Secretary-General.

For the first time in DAP’s modern history, there is no Lim in the party’s top leadership. Guan Eng has been appointed as DAP’s National Advisor, but how much influence he will hold moving forward remains uncertain.

What Does This Mean?

✅ A New Era for DAP – The party may be moving away from the “Lim dynasty.”

✅ Gobind Singh Deo Takes Over – What direction will DAP take under his leadership?

✅ Impact on Pakatan Harapan – Will this affect DAP’s relationship with PKR & Amanah?
